Huddersfield man jailed after evil gang raped and abused schoolgirl hundreds of times

HE was part of an evil gang who raped and abused a girl hundreds of times over two horrific years.
Now a man from Huddersfield is among 15 defendants who have been given jail sentences totalling more than 160 years for sexual offences against the vulnerable schoolgirl.
Mansoor Akhtar, 25, was today(frid) sent to prison for a total of six years after he was found guilty by a jury at Leeds Crown Court on one charge of sexual activity with a child and admitted supplying her with cannabis.
He was cleared on a further charge of sexual activity with the schoolgirl by having sex in his car.
Another man Sikander Ishaq, 32, from Halifax was jailed for six years after he was convicted on one charge of sexual activity with the girl.
Judge Geoffrey Marson QC had already jailed 13 other men for raping or abusing the same girl when she was aged between 13 and 15 but their cases could not be previously reported in case of prejudice to a series of trials. They were given sentences between six and 25 years.
Michelle Colborne QC prosecuting said Akhtar knew she was only 15 when he drove her to a bed and breakfast or hotel in Bradford where the schoolgirl described them drinking alcohol, smoking cannabis and having sex.
Akhtar, whose address cannot be given, denied there was any sexual contact between them.
He told the jury he first meet the teenager at a park in Halifax in 2011 when she was with another girl and two males and said they talked about cannabis.
He said after phone contact with her he met her again and they sat in his car and “smoked weed.” He claimed she told him she was 16 and denied ever having sex with her.
He accepted at a third meeting he sold her some cannabis for £10 and claimed the last time he saw her she was drunk and he had not seen her again saying. “It wasn’t my thing.”
During the trials the court heard the schoolgirl was preyed on by as many as 100 men, the majority of them of Asian origin, during a two-year period.
Some took advantage because they saw her as vulnerable, others because word got round she was available.
The prosecution described her as “lonely, needy” and seeking friendship and love, a teenager who for a long time did not understand that she was a victim of child abuse being groomed and exploited.
Miss Colborne QC prosecuting told one trial: “Under the effects of drink or drugs she let them have sex with her or was so intoxicated she could not say No.”
“She was a child who has no memory of the first time she had sex such is the extent of the exploitation.”
Juries at four separate trials heard how the schoolgirl was 13 when her mother died after a long illness, by which time she had already got used to fending for herself, sometimes in a house with no electricity or food.
