A teenager was hit with a wooden bat in a robbery by a gang of youngsters in Huddersfield.
Detectives are appealing for information after the incident in Alder Street which involved a number of attackers, some aged as young as 13.
The 17-year-old male victim was walking home with his brother at about 9.10pm on Friday when they were approached by the gang.
One demanded money before the rest of the group surrounded the victim and one struck him with a wooden bat. A mobile phone was stolen and the pair were then chased by the group.
It is believed the gang were later seen in the Woodhouse Hill area of Huddersfield.
The group consists of six to eight males, aged between 13 and 16-years-old. The suspects are described as dark skinned, other than one who was a white male with ginger hair and freckles. One of the suspects was wearing a hooded top, with the hood up and a bandana across his face.
